Vietnam Dalat Catimor

$12.00

Bitter Chocolate, Black Tea and a hint of Raisin lurking in the background

This is a special offering featuring Catimor, a distinct variety we are excited about. Catimor is not a true Arabica, but a robust hybrid created from a cross between the delicate Arabica variety Caturra and the hardy Timor Hybrid (which carries natural Robusta lineage). This unique heritage gives the coffee its exceptional strength and body.

For us, this makes it an outstanding choice that performs beautifully with milk or as a strong black coffee, delivering a profile very close to the traditional Italian espresso when pulled with pressure.

• ROAST LEVEL - Dark/Medium
• SWEETNESS - Medium
• ACIDITY - Low
• BODY - High

GROW REGION
The Da Lat (Đà Lạt) region, specifically the Cau Dat area within the Lam Dong province, is the most famous and highly-regarded region for Arabica coffee production in Vietnam. This sets it apart from the rest of the Central Highlands, which is primarily known for its high-volume Robusta crops.

HARVEST PROCESS
This coffee is processed using the washed method. While Vietnam is predominantly known for its Robusta coffee, which is traditionally natural (dry) processed, the washed method is an important part of the country's growing specialty coffee sector.
